Mastodon - Crack the Skye (2009)

Introducing the idea of nautical metal, Mastodon's breakthrough album "Leviathan," was based on <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB003239" title="Moby" href="/topic/entertainment/music/moby-PECLB003239.topic">Moby</a> Dick. If only the premise of their newest album were so simple: Wormholes, time travel, Tsarist Russia, underground Christian sects, Rasputin and battles with the devil all figure into the story. Nonetheless, it's actually a good album.<br>
