( Handout ) PETA considers itself the largest animal rights organization in the world, focusing on ethical treatment for animals in farming, laboratories and the entertainment and clothing industries. PETA most recently offered to buy ads of the Connecticut River ferries, in order to save the ferry service and promote a Vegan lifestyle. PETA said its first ad would read: "Throw Animals a Lifeline: Go Vegan." |
