Albert Mosca

Albert Mosca, 75, lives directly across the street form the Kleen Energy Systems plant entrance and has spent the past 2 1/2 years watching the landscape change in front of his house. He has endured constant blasting and clouds of dust so often that Sunday's blast seemed normal to him when he heard it. He and his wife were evacuated from the area shortly after the blast and were not able to return until 5 pm. At 3:30 Sunday, Mosca needed to return to his home for some medications and was escorted there by Middletown Police. Mosca has lived in his colonial home overlooking the Conn. River for 33 years. "I came out here for the quiet," he said. In the background are some storage tanks that are part of the Kleen Energy project.STEPHEN DUNN / HARTFORD COURANT
