ValuJet DC-9 crashes 1996

The first commercial flight for ValuJet was on Ocboer 26, 1993.  Persistent mechanical issues came to national focus with the crash of a ValuJet DC-9 over the Florida <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLTRA0000115" title="Everglades" href="/topic/environmental-issues/natural-resources/everglades-PLTRA0000115.topic">Everglades</a> in which all crew and passengers were lost.
