The Peninsula showed nicely at the Beijing Olympics, with swimmers Dave Walters, Christine Marshall and ex-Williamsburg resident Katie Hoff all medaling. Walters (above), the former Tabb High star, earned a gold for swimming a leg on the 800-meter relay. Marshall, an ex-Menchville standout, got a bronze for the 800 women’s relay. Hoff won a silver and two bronzes.
