December 17, 2008: Hall of Famer <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT000441" title="Sammy Baugh" href="/topic/sports/sammy-baugh-PESPT000441.topic">Sammy Baugh</a> is considered by some to be the best all-around player in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000007" title="NFL" href="/topic/sports/football/nfl-ORSPT000007.topic">NFL</a> history. The former <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000226" title="Washington Redskins" href="/topic/sports/football/washington-redskins-ORSPT000226.topic">Redskins</a> star was the league's first efficient passer, once picked off four passes in a game as a defensive back and still holds the single-season mark in punting average at more than 51 yards per punt. Baugh died at age 94 on Wednesday.
