Yuris Night at Virginia Air and Space Center

Virginia Peninsula Astronomy/Stargazers member Larry Wade sets up a telescope Saturday, April 4, 2009, during Yuri's Night at the Virginia Air and Space Center. Members of the club set up a variety of telescopes and were able to view a few stars despite the light pollution in downtown Hampton. Similar parties were held in 198 cities in 51 countries to celebrate space exploration. The night is named after Yuri Gagarin, the first human to travel in space.
