Earl Game: A grocery David isn't afraid to take on Goliath (2005)

Local grocer Earl Game, who has owned a store on Harpersville Road since 1972, was against the proposed <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP016487" title="Wal-Mart Stores, Inc." href="/topic/economy-business-finance/wal-mart-stores-inc.-ORCRP016487.topic">Wal-Mart</a> on the Hampton Parkway.  He and his customers rallied in 2005 in protest.  The Wal-Mart was not built.
