Pictures: How fat is your state?
According to recently released CDC data, part of the 2012 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey, these are the adult obesity rates by state from highest to lowest. Each state is represented by what Health.com has presented as the 50 fattiest foods (one dish from each state).

Fried Cheese Curds
Ingredients: Milk or beer, egg, flour, sugar, salt, baking power, cheese curds, oil for frying
Fat content: Homemade recipes will vary. A&W restaurants make a version that contains 40 grams of fat in an order, and Culvers has 38 grams of fat, both more than your daily-recommended limit.
A by-product of the cheese-making process, curds are a Wisconsin staple. These are deep-fried for extra fat -- um -- we mean flavor.
