The Nike+Running app is one of the most comprehensive free running apps for iOS and Android. It maps your runs; track progress, calories burned, pace, time; and offers motivational reminders to keep you running. The app automatically uploads data to Nikeplus.com where users can view their runs, routes and elevation. Users can also share their runs on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.
While Runtastic is better known for its running app, the developers have rolled out several companion apps for walking, cycling, sit-ups, push-ups, squats, pull-ups and more. Most of apps under the Runtastic brand are free, but others start at 99 cents. They're available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Users can post their rides on Facebook and Twitter, as well as discover new routes on the apps database. The app is free and available for iOS and Android.
If you like to snap pictures of your food to share them with friends, Burpple might be a useful app to keep track of the stuff you stuff in your face. It basically operates like a food journal that organizes and tags food photos with locations that help other users connect. It also integrates with Facebook and Twitter.
