Dramatic home video shows a homemade helium balloon taking flight over Fort Collins, Colorado at a time when officials feared there was a six-year-old boy riding along.

The video, shot by FOX 31 viewer Carmen DeLeone, shows the balloon rising into the air above a park along Lemay Ave. between Trilby and Harmony Rd. in Fort Collins, Colorado around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

"Check it out man. Looks like a flying saucer," one witness is heard saying.

"Look at that sucker! Whoever had it, they ain't getting it back."

Authorities were searching for 6-year-old Falcon Heene, who authorities thought was inside a basket attached to the balloon. He was found around 4 p.m., alive and well, and had apparently been hiding in a cardboard box in the family's garage.

The aircraft, which was not designed for travel, came crashing down in a field approximately 50 miles southeast of the family's home.
