( CDC ) A three-decade-long Swedish study found that, overall, women who undergo mammography have a 30% reduction in mortality from breast cancer. Some doctors believe this may tamper critics' argument that the procedure produces too many false positives, requiring many women to undergo unnecessary invasive procedures.
