HELPS: Lumbar rolls

Place a lumbar roll behind the small of your back when you're sitting in a chair, said Dr. Richard Guyer, orthopedic surgeon and co-founder of the Texas Back Institute. "It helps to maintain the normal curvature in the back when sitting," he said. "There is a tendency for the lower curve to flatten, which can cause fatiguing with prolonged sitting."
