The folks at Health Fitness Revolution looked at the world's heads of state (and a few former) and picked 11 they thought qualified as the fittest.

I was surprised to see our cheeseburger-loving ex-president on the list. But Bill Clinton is there.

According to the magazine's founder, Samir Becic, criteria included how the leaders coped with their own medical issues as well as their "promotion of a healthy lifestyle within their own country." Clinton was known as a jogger and also for his love of jalapeño cheeseburgers. But in 2010, after dealing with heart trouble, Clinton adopted a vegan diet and pared off the extra pounds.

Not surprising was the inclusion of Russia's favorite man without a shirt, President Vladimir Putin. His fondness for an active lifestyle is legend. (See him here showing his pecs and hanging out in a hang glider.)

Becic said they started with a list of 100 and narrowed it down to the fittest. Flip through the photos above and tell us in the comments what you think.  Anybody you'd skip? Any buff leader forgotten?
