The efforts by Jhpiego, an international non-profit organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, are part of an effort led by the Gates foundation and several other groups to make contracepton and family planning services better avaialbe to 120 million women and girls in the world's poorest country.
Jhpiego will begin distributing contraception in Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria. The group will also help to develop a model for use of the implants in other countries.
