Damages from Oct. 4, 1979 F4 tornado in Windsor Locks

Windsor, CT-Pieces of historic warplanes lie scattered at the Bradley Air Museum in Windsor Locks after the 1979 tornado struck without warning.The 40 planes destroyed or severely damaged were included in one of the largest airplane collections in the country. This F4 tornado is considered the sixth-most damaging tornado in U.S. history since 1890, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
