Talcott Mountain State Park

Talcott Mountain State Park has been enjoyed by many generations of Connecticut residents, including such luminaries as Mark Twain. Drive to Simsbury and hike one-mile uphill for panoramic views. If you are feeling especially limber, climb several flights of stairs up Heublein Tower, which sits atop the peak. The park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset. Heublein Tower is open to the public Thursday through Sunday, starting May 24 through the end of August.
