'Sunday in the Park With George' At Yale School of Drama

The Yale School of Drama presents "Sunday in the Park with George," will be presented Friday, Dec. 14 to Thursday, Dec. 20 at the University Theatre, 222 York St., New Haven.

The musical, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, is directed by Ethan Heard, third year MFA candidate in directing. Heard is also artistic director of the Yale Cabaret for the 2012-13 season.

Music direction and orchestrations for none players are by Dan Schlosberg of the Yale School of Music. Originsal Tony Award-winning orchestrator Michael Starabin has been mentoring Schlosberg on the project.

Featured in the show, which centers on French pointillist painter George Seurat in 1884, are: Monique Barbee, Catherine Chiocchi, Robert Grant, Ashton Heyl, Jeremy Lloyd, Matt McCollum, Jack Moran, Mariko Nakasone, Dan O’Brien, Marissa Neitling, Max Roll, Sophie von Haselberg, Mitchell Winter, Carly Zien, and Carmen Zilles.

 Performances are Dec. 14 and 15 at 8 p.m.; Dec. 17 to 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 to $25.
