Jayne Atkinson, Noah Racey, Dan Butler, Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker are among the actors who will be featured in plays and musicals this summer at the Berkshire Theatre Group, which operates the Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge and the Colonila Theatre in Pittsfield.
Racey (actor in Goodspeed Musical's "Where's Charley" and a choreographer) will play Zach, the choreographer-director, in the musical "A Chorus Line," directed by Eric Hill at the Colonial which will run July 2 to 21. Also in the cast are Sara Andreas, Ashley Arcement, Nili Bassman (as Cassie, who was on Broadway in "Curtainms." "Chicago" and "Never Gonna Dance"), Matthew Bauman, Giovanni Bonaventura, Natalie Caruncho, Alex Chester, Chris Chianesi, Warren Curtis, Eddie Gutierrez, Andrew Hodge, Bryan Thomas Hunt, Julianne Katz, Tim McGarrigal,Neil Totton, Margaret Wild, Karley Willocks and Dana Winkle,
Herb Gardner's "A Thousand Clowns," directed by Kyle Fabel, runs through July 16 to 28 at the main stage of the Berkshire Theatre Festival. The cast includes: James Barry, Jordan Gelber, Rachey Bay Jones, Andrew Polk, Russell Posner and CJ Wilson as Murray Burns.
Tony Award-nominee Jayne Atkinson will play the title role in Kelly Masterson's "Edith," directed by Michael Sexton at the BTF main stage July 31 to Aug. 11. Also cast in the play about the wife of President Woodrow Wilson is Dan Butler (TV's :"Frasier"), Jack Gilpin, Walter Hudson, Stephen Skybell and Sam,ntha Soule.
David Epstein's "Brace Yourself," directed by James Naughton features Jill Eikenberry, Michael Tucker, Jackie Hoffman, Keira Naughton, David Ross and Wrenn Schmidt. The show will pl;ay the BTF main stage Aug. 14 to 25.
Giles Segal's "The Puppetmaster of Lodz," translated by Sara O'Connor and directed by Brian Roff, plays the Unicorn theatre in Stickbnridge in rep June 21 ro Oct. 7. Featured are: Joby Earle, Julia Gibson, Jesse Hinson and Lee Sellars.
The musical "A Class Act," directed by Robert Moss, plays the Unicorn July 10 to Aug. 4. The musical features: Rachael Balcanoff, Ross Baum,
Marie Eife, Brian Scannell, Eddie Shields, Robbie Simpson, Tessa Hope Slovis and Anya Whelan-Smith.
William Donnelly's "Homestead Crossing," directed by Kyle Farber (produced with Merrimack Repertory Theatre of Lowell, MA and Portland Stage Company of Portland, ME) plays the Unicorn Aug. 7 to Sept. 1. The play features David Adkins, Ross Cowan, Corinna May and Lesley Shires
