Craig Janney - Hartford
Former NHL center Craig Janney, right, enjoyed a 12-year NHL career during which he established himself as one of the better set-up men of his time, finishing with 563 career assists. Drafted in the first round of the 1986 draft by the Boston Bruins, Janney made his debut in the 1987-88 season, playing 15 games for Boston. Janney was among the top 10 assists leaders for four straight seasons between 1990-91 and 1993-94. In 1992-93, his first full season with the St. Louis Blues, Janney recorded 82 assists, fifth-most in the NHL that year. His career 563 assists are 82nd-most all time. He played his final season in 1998-99, where he split the season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Islanders.
Janney was born in Hartford and grew up in Enfield. He attended Enfield High School and Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts.
