The National Playwrights Conference kicks off Wednesday, July 4 at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford and continues through July 28.
Zabryna Guevara (Hartford Stage’s “Water By the Spoonful”) is featured in the first staged reading of this conference in Anne Garcia-Romero’s “Provenance” playing July 4 and 5. Also cast are Felix Solis, Robert Montano and Keira Keeley.
Brian Kerwin, Ben Morrow and Jennifer Van Dyke are featured in Ken Weitzman’s “Reclamation,” with readings on July 6 and 7.
Charlotte Booker, Michael Countryman, Clayton Fox, Keira Keeley, Karen Pittman, Will Rogers and Myra Lucretia Taylor are in Laura Jacqmin’s “Two Lakes, Two Rivers,” playing July 11 and 12.
Leila Buck, Scott Drummond, Crystal Fox, David Lam, Curtis McClarin, Ben Morrow, Brian Quijada, Hearther Simms, Makela Sopielman and Chandra Thomas are in Dominic Taylor’s “Hype Hero (King Patch)”, playing July 13 and 14.
Kevin Geer, Megam Green, Will Rogers, Terrell Donnell Sledge, Kira Sternbach, Deonna Bouye and Clayton Fox are in Hilary Bettis’ “Alligator,” playing July 18 and 19.
Rick Foucheux, Stacey Raymond, Nancy Robinette and Makela Spielman are cast in Basil Kreimendahl’s “Orange Julius,” playing July 20 and 21
Danny Mastrogorgio, Deonna Bouye, Megan Green, Alexandra Henrickson, Teresa Avia Lim and Irene Sofia Lucio are cast in Meg Miroshnik’s “The Tall Girls,” playing July 25 and 26.
Jeremy Webb, Kristine Nielsen and Laura Heisler are cast — with additional actors still to be named — in Theresa Rebeck’s “Fool,” playing July 27 and 28.
