Mark DeJohn was drafted by the New York Mets in 1971 out of Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown. He played 24 Major League games, all at shortstop for the Detroit Tigers at the start of the 1982 season. DeJohn has been a coached in the Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals organizations for more than 20 years. He was the manager of the New Haven Ravens in 2002.
