With James Taylor making his theatrical stage debut next month in "A Christmas Carol" at the Berkshire Theatre Group in Pittsfield, Mass. the qustion arises -- will he get the stage bug, a la Harry Connick, Jr. and seek out other musical stage projects?
What might be a good fit for the easy going, low-key and entirely likable singer-songwriter and his sweet baby James baritone?
Perhaps....The Narrator in "Into the Woods"
Sarah Brown's father in "Guys and Dolls"
Daddy Warbucks in "Annie?"
Herbie in "Gypsy"
The Starkeeper in "Carousel" (except he has no songs)
The husband in "Hairspray"
The Wizard in "Wicked"
The Man in the Chair in "The Drowsy Chaperone"
