is trying to sketch, paint and
write more now that her four
children are making their own
PB & J's. She is a charter
member and executive board
member of the Friends of
Hammonasset and the
Friends of Brooksvale Park.
Involvement in these two
wonderful places gives her
much inspiration in her art
and writing. Walker has a
degree in art education,
dabbled in journalism, and
hopes to take the plunge into
children’s book writing and
illustration soon.<br>

Shack at Brooksvale Park and
as I sit and wait amidst the
steam for the syrup to boil I
sketch. The historic
Brooksvale Barn is the first in
a series of four small sketches
I’m doing at the park."

The artist, Kirsten Walker of Hamden, is trying to sketch, paint and write more now that her four children are making their own PB & J's. She is a charter member and executive board member of the Friends of Hammonasset and the Friends of Brooksvale Park. Involvement in these two wonderful places gives her much inspiration in her art and writing. Walker has a degree in art education, dabbled in journalism, and hopes to take the plunge into children’s book writing and illustration soon.
