Aleta Gudelski, who lives with her family on a small farm in Durham, finds that picturesque setting provides her with inspiration and atmosphere. Aside from the quiet images for which she is known, Gudelski has equally committed her talents to portray inner statements not easily made with words. "I cannot change the world, but I can create quiet centers within my art where others may consider its meaning," she said. Gudelski earned her post-baccalaureate degree in painting from the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts and her master of arts and liberal studies degree with a concentration in painting from Wesleyan University. She is an adjunct fine arts instructor at Middlesex Community College and exhibits her work throughout the nation.
