Chris O'Herron, who painted the image " <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="HPR11" title="Heublein Tower" href="/topic/travel/heublein-tower-HPR11.topic">Heublein Tower</a>" on this week's cover, maintains an artist's studio in Canton. He creates elegant hand-produced portraits in charcoal or oil. In addition, he works part time as a picture framer at Fastframe in Avon.<br>

O'Herron first started painting in oil while majoring in illustration at Syracuse University. After studying in Florence, Italy, he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from  Syracuse. He currently enjoys painting a variety of subject matter including the tobacco fields, people and landscapes of New England.<br>
