Jack Montmeat, East Lyme

<a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100206030000" title="East Lyme" href="/topic/us/connecticut/new-london-county/east-lyme-PLGEO100100206030000.topic">East Lyme</a> resident Jack Montmeat created the oil painting “Hill at Rathbun Farm, Stonington, CT" on this week’s iTOWNS cover.

 Montmeat, who regularly shows his work through local art associations, schools and galleries, teaches drawing at the Mystic Art Center and the Lyme Art Association and has given drawing demonstrations for the Mystic Art Center and the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100202120000" title="Glastonbury" href="/topic/us/connecticut/hartford-county/glastonbury-PLGEO100100202120000.topic">Glastonbury</a> and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100206020000" title="Colchester" href="/topic/us/connecticut/new-london-county/colchester-PLGEO100100206020000.topic">Colchester</a> art guilds.
 He and other local artists often paint at Rathbun Farm with the permission of the farm’s owner David Rathbun, whose family has owned the farm since the middle of the 17th century.
