July 5, 1975: Arthur Ashe Wins Wimbledon

Arthur Ashe became the first black man to win a Wimbledon singles title on July 5, 1975, handily beating his opponent Jimmy Connors in three sets. Connors was the world's top-ranked male tennis player at the time.
