Denise Lynn Nappier

Denise Lynn Nappier, born in 1951, was the "first woman elected State Treasurer in Connecticut history, first African American woman elected State Treasurer in the nation, and first African American woman elected to statewide office in Connecticut," according to the CWHF website. She was inducted in 2011.
