He called his team's inconsistency "maddening" and said he did not know what to expect from the roster, from game to game, period to period and shift to shift. And he recently said the inconsistency wasn't just the product of youth -- veterans were also making mistakes.
Meanwhile, Chris Kreider has continued to struggle in the NHL and he could be heading back to the Whale.
Kolarik has 16 goals and was set to represent the Whale at the AHL All-Star game next week. He missed all of last season with a knee injury and has bounced back strong this year.
Ferriero has four goals in 34 goals. The Massachusetts native has 48 goals in 155 AHL games and has played in 92 NHL games with San Jose.
