Vernon Homicide Aerial Photograph

An aerial photograph by Vernon police shows the area in Vernon where the remains of Susan LaRosa were found by loggers on May 18,1978 during the construction of I-84. LaRosa's remains were found in a wooded area approximately 110 yards south of the eastbound lanes of the former I-86, which today are exits 66 and 67 of I-84. Susan LaRosa  disappeared in 1975 from her 22 Ward Street apartment in Rockville where she lived with her husband and three young children. Investigators are reopening the case with the hopes that new techniques can help solve the 27-year-old murder case.
