Stuart Ward will be the guy and Dani De Waal the girl is the national tour of the Tony Award-winning musical “Once,” which will play the Shubert Theater in New Haven in Feb. 26 to March 2. The tour of the romantic musical opens at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence on Oct. 1.
Ward was standby in the role for the London production of the show. De Waal was in the recent Broadway revival of “Picnic.”
Also cast are Ray Bokhour, Matt Deangelis, John Gardner, Donna Garner, Evan Harrington, Ryan Link, Benjamin Magnuson, Alex Nee, Erica Swindell, Kolette Tetlow, Claire Wellin, Estelle Bajou, Stephen McIntyre, Zander Meisner, Tina Stafford, Tiffany Topol and Matt Wolpe.
The show features the Oscar-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright and screenwriter, Enda Walsh and direction by the Scottish director of “Black Watch,” John Tiffany, with movement by Steven Hoggett.
