STORY LINES OF THE SEASON
Northwest Catholic-West Hartford became the first CCC school to win a class title since Glastonbury won Class L in 1992. The Indians came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat Westbrook, 4-3, to win Class S. Amy and Diana Cao's 6-4 doubles win clinched the first girls tennis state championship in school history.
Avon's Hannah Dahlem and Glastonbury's Katherine DeNucci were seeded No. 1 and No. 2 in the State Open. Both Dahlem and DeNucci reached the semifinals before losing..
No. 22 Sheehan-Wallingford made a run to the semifinals in the Class M tournament. The Titans beat Bethel in the first round, 5-2, and then upset third-seeded Avon, 4-3, in the quarterfinals. Sheehan lost to Class M runner-up Weston, 7-0, in the semifinals.
Bristol Eastern coach Tom Chauvin retired after the season. Chauvin spent 38 years at the helm of the Lancers' program. Bristol Eastern claimed the CCC South title, going 7-0 in the division and 13-3 overall in the regular season.
Glastonbury won the CCC North with a 14-1 regular season. RHAM-Hebron took the CCC East at 11-4 and state champion Northwest Catholic went 15-1 to win the CCC West.
