Story Lines Of The Season
Hall-West Hartford coach Jim Solomon earned his 500th career win on May 17 after the Warriors beat Cheshire, 6-1. Solomon has coached Hall for 39 years.
East Catholic-Manchester got over the hump after finishing second in four straight state tournaments. The Eagles won the Class S title for the first time in school history, beating Weston, 21-20. It was also the school's 50th state title. Avon won its third consecutive boys Class M title.
Berlin's Dan Rombola reached the Class M final. It was the first time in Redcoat history a player made a singles state title match. Rombola lost to Foran-Milford's Bradley Orban, 6-0, 6-1.
