Job Creation

Put an additional $10 million toward a program that provides wage and training subsidies to companies that hire an unemployed worker. A new $3.6 million long-term unemployment program would benefit 500 jobseekers by providing them subsidized employment, job training, and financial advice. Add $100 million in funding for a Department of Economic and Community Development program that provides low-interest loans for a wide range of economic development projects.
