<B>1969:</b> Joe Morrone was hired as men's soccer coach at UConn and led the Huskies to their first NCAA championship in 1980. He went on to coach for 28 seasons with a 358-178-53 record. When he retired in 1996, the soccer stadium on campus was named after him. (1996 Photo)
