2007:Georgia high school star Maya Moore joined the program in 2007 and left its all-time scorer with 3,036 points. She became UConn's only four-time first-team All-American. 2007: UConn won its first Big-East championship and played in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Huskies were also ranked for the first time, 16th in the AP, 13th in the BCS. 2007: Matt Harvey of Fitch-Groton was 6-1 with a 0.64 ERA and struck out a school-record 112 in 54 2/3 innings in his senior season. 2008: Former Husky Ray Allen earned his first NBA title with the Celtics. A 10-time All-Star, the league's all-time leader in three-point field goals got another with Miami in 2013. 2008: The Huskies went to back-to-back bowls for the first time in school history with an International Bowl (Toronto) appearance and 38-20 victory. Running back Donald Brown led the country in rushing (2,083 yards). 2008: On May 27 the Trinity baseball team fell to 44-1 with its first loss of the season (to Johns Hopkins) but rebounded to beat Johns Hopkins the same day to win the NCAA Division III baseball championship.
