"Scenes from a Mall"

“Scenes from a Mall,” the 1991 comedy directed by Paul Mazursky, was inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s “Scenes from a Marriage.” In the movie, Woody Allen and Bette Midler shop, shop, shop and fight incessantly. As one would expect from such a premise, the movie was a flop. It was shot in Stamford Town Center. Before coming to Stamford to shoot the movie, the Woodman had never been inside a mall.
