Commercial real estate firms join forces

A St. Louis-based commercial real estate firm on Monday announced a partnership with a South Florida brokerage designed to boost business in South Florida.

Sansone Group says it is teaming with Robinson Commercial Real Estate Services. The combined entity will be known as Robinson-Sansone Brokerage Services.

Jim Sansone, principal at the Sansone Group, said the joint venture will allow the newly formed group to offer leasing and property management services, mostly for office and industrial properties.

"We don't have the leasing expertise on the brokerage side in these communities," he said. "Now we'll have the opportunity to gain additional business."

Walter Robinson heads Miami-based Robinson Commercial. The firm says it has worked with investors and helped lease developments totaling more than 800,000 square feet. Walter Robinson could not be reached for comment Monday.

Anthony Sansone started his firm in 1957. His four sons now run the business, which has a property portfolio of more than 20 million square feet in 13 states.

The firm opened an office in Coral Springs in 2009 and one in Palm Beach Gardens in 2010. It also has a location in Miami.

Sansone currently manages four properties in Broward, including the 106,343-square-foot Country Isle Plaza in Weston and the 79,868-square-foot Turtle Crossing in Coral Springs.

Its five Palm Beach County properties include the 88,150-square-foot Gardens Plaza office building and the 116,000-square-foot Mirasol Walk Plaza, both in Palm Beach Gardens.

"We thought there was a lot of growth here, and that has come true," Jim Sansone said.
