The 4th District Court of Appeal recently affirmed the conviction and 60-year prison sentence for Jakaris Taylor, who was 15 when he and other teens spent hours brutally raping a woman and torturing her and her son inside Dunbar Village in 2007. But the appellate court has asked the Florida Supreme Court to decide whether the lengthy sentence for Taylor, now 21, is constitutional under a U.S. Supreme Court 2010 ruling.
