Store employee accused of stealing more than $1,300 in fake returns

A Saks Fifth Avenue Off Fifth employee is accused of stealing more than $1,000 from the retailer through fake returns, according to a West Palm Beach Police arrest report.

Stephanie Glad, 35, of Lake Worth, was arrested Wednesday after security at the store said she was captured on video processing returns without any customers around.

Security provided investigators with the receipts and closed-circuit-television recordings showing Glad performing 10 fraudulent transactions from July 25 through Wednesday, police said.

Investigators said Glad would issue a cash refund and pocket the money. She's accused of defrauding the retailer of $1,335.86, according to the report.

She faces an organized fraud charge, and was booked and released from Palm Beach County Jail on Friday after posting $3,000 bail., 561-243-6607 or Twitter and Instagram @adamsacasa
