Coach of the Year
St. Thomas Aquinas
2013 record: 19-7 (first year)
Comment: A former St. Thomas standout himself, Cameron returned to his alma mater intent on helping the Raiders return to state championship form. In his first year, St. Thomas earned four victories over powerhouse rival Nova, claimed the district and regional championships, and advanced to the state tournament where they were eliminated from title contention after a 2-1 loss to eventual state runner-up Haines City. "Being offered the opportunity to coach at St. Thomas has been a dream come true. Having my assistant coaches come with me, the experience they've brought, has been a real credit to the success of this team. We also have some great kids that are soaking up everything we have to teach them," he said.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
