Tips for planning the bachelorette weekend

I had my bachelorette weekend recently and it made me think about all of the different options available in and around Baltimore. There really is something suitable for every bride.

For example, mine was an entire weekend in one of my favorite places on earth - Ocean City, MD. While the weather was a bit chilly it was perfect for me to be at the beach, enjoy all of my favorite restaurants and bars and relax with the women in my life who mean the most to me.

Other weekend getaways in and around the area include Annapolis, D.C., Deep Creek, Philadelphia or even Atlantic City. These are great locations for groups of 15 or less for a nice two-night escape.

Some who are looking for a one-night splurge have a ton of options too, including Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton, Harbor East, Towson, Bel Air or Power Plant.

Then there are the daytime opportunities that are ideal for incorporating large groups or those with people younger than 21 who still want to join while others drink, such as Boordy Vineyards, camping, hiking, water tubing – as you can see, there is a nature trend in this one.

Lastly, for those who are looking to go big or go home, you can’t forget the legendary locations like Vegas, Miami and New York City.

Whatever your style, make sure your bridesmaids know the vibe you’re envisioning (they aren’t mind-readers!) and remember it’s your last single weekend trip so have a blast and take in every moment of it.
