Saxon's 60-second love story contest

Who doesn't love a good love story? Well the folks at Saxon's Diamond Centers in Bel Air and Aberdeen certainly do, which is why they’re hosting their second annual 60-second video contest. The grand prize is a $10,000 diamond engagement ring.

In order to compete, couples must submit a 60-second or shorter video that mentions either Saxon's location in some way. Third-party judges will select the three finalists and the public will vote for the winner, who will receive a 14-karat white gold band and "exquisite princess-cut center stone in a halo design accented with round and trapezoid diamonds."

"It can be personal, funny or heartfelt. It’s really anything you want to do. It’s your own creation," says co-owner Lance Hersh. "Even if the couple doesn’t win, they’ll have something to show their kids."

The runners-up will receive a $250 gift certificate toward the purchase of a diamond engagement ring valued at $2,500 or more.

"Basically, it's a great way to save some money and create something really nice," says Hersh.

The contest began Tuesday, July 2 and entries must be received by midnight on Thursday, July 18. Voting begins on Saturday, July 20 and the winner will be announced on July 29, according to the press release. For more information and to enter the contest, please visit OneMinuteLoveStory.com.
