Ideas for including underage bridesmaids in all the pre-wedding activities

FamilyMarriageWeddings

A few guidelines come along with being part of a bridal party. You generally have to buy a dress and shoes, get your makeup and hair done but most importantly be there for the bride and partake in the important events leading up to the wedding. These events usually include the bridal shower and bachelorette party. One of my bridesmaids is my cousin, Taylor, who will only be 16 at the time of these events. It won't affect the shower obviously but I worry about her not being able to be involved in the bachelorette party.

I understand there is a time and place for everything, and she will be able to experience a full bachelorette party in 5 years when she's of age to go out to bars. But in the meantime, I would like her to still be involved in everything else as much as possible.

I don't know what my girls will have planned for us but if it's a weekend away, I'd like Taylor to be able to come and hang out with the group during the day or even have a night in which she can participate. If it's a night out in our hometown, I would like to plan a dinner beforehand that she can come to or a day event.

I'm sure my bridal party will do their best to make everyone feel welcome and included in all activities. I have been in weddings that have had underage girls and I think we have always done a fine job keeping them involved, even in the bachelorette parties.

Bridal parties often wear matching shirts for the night out as well, so she will definitely get one of these, and we will be sure to take lots of pictures before the girls night out.
