After an initial flurry of planning, things slowed down maybe too much.

Keith and I got engaged six months ago and it has been the most exciting time of my life. I was so anxious at first that we did a lot of planning right away. We chose colors, our bridal party, our date and venue. Within a month I had found my dress, a band and a photographer. I know who I’m using for flowers and booked a photo booth.

There was so much done right away that we have been a little lazy with wedding planning the past couple months because we didn’t feel anything was urgent that had to be done.

We are now 8 and a half months out from the wedding and it is definitely time to get the ball rolling again. People keep asking what plans I’m working on right now for the wedding and I realized I haven’t done much lately so it’s time to break the hiatus and really get in full wedding mode.

There are some things we started, but I have learned they are only half done. For example, we got our engagement photos done but we still need to choose an engagement photo for our Save the Dates. We have a band but we need to focus on choosing playlists so that the band knows all the songs in time. I have my dress but the girls need their dresses. The food still needs to be picked for the venue.

As I’m sitting here writing this, it is making me want to get up and go take care of something wedding-related.
