The view from Federal Hill in 1900 shows an industrial Inner Harbor filled with steamships. Three of the harbor's seven icehouses were located at the base of Federal Hill. Blocks of ice were shipped in from Maine, stored in sawdust and then distributed by wagon throughout the city. Baltimore Sun
