The happiest of happy hours include our pets, and the one scheduled on Friday at the Maryland SPCA promises to be great fun for all.
To benefit the homeless pets in their adoption center and to help save more pets’ lives, the Maryland SPCA will host its first Wine and Wag Happy Hour of the summer season from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.on Friday, June 14, at 3300 Falls Road in Hampden. In addition to beer, wine, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, pizza from California Pizza Kitchen, and tours of their adoption center, there will be activities for dogs including off-leash play in secure fun runs, bobbing for hot dogs, and paw painting.
“Our Wine and Wag events are a great way for the community to come together, enjoy a beautiful summer Friday, and help homeless pets,” says Aileen Gabbey, executive director of the SPCA.
Tickets are $10 per person in advance (children attending with adults need their own tickets) and $15 at the MD SPCA gate. One dog per person is admitted free, and all pups and pooches must stay on-leash when they’re not inside designated play runs.
Can’t make this one? No worries! Two additional Wine and Wag Happy Hours will take place on July 12 and August 16.
