Pigskin Pup picked Ravens games, earned ice cream for Baltimore's needy dogs

Five months ago a little rescue dog in Baltimore took on a big challenge: He would attempt to correctly pick the winner of each Baltimore Ravens regular season game.

If Teddy the Pigskin Picking Pup picked more winners than losers, he’d end the season with glory. But the folks who make Frosty Paws dog ice cream sweetened the bet – if Teddy had a winning season, they’d send ice cream to all of the dogs at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.

We followed his picks all season long on the Sun’s pet blog, Unleashed. And Teddy, who weighs less than a football, came through. This week he and the BARCS dogs ate that ice cream – with gusto.

On behalf of Unleashed, The Baltimore Sun, and all of those happy shelter dogs – congratulations little Teddy for a great season.

PS: All of the pups (except Teddy, of course) in this video are looking for homes at BARCS.
