Dog groups get funding with Unleashed by Petco grand opening in Pikesville

Two local dog groups will celebrate big donations this weekend when the new Unleashed by Petco hosts its grand opening in Pikesville. Pits and Rotts for Life Rescue and the Baltimore group Pets on Wheels will each receive $1,500 as part of the grand opening, to help them continue their work in the community.

Unleashed by Petco will offer natural, organic, raw, and cooked food selections for pets and is part of the Petco chain of supply stores. It will also feature a self-serve dog wash and host adoption days and other events for local pet rescues and nonprofit groups. It will also hold pet celebrations, local dog meet-ups, contests, and social gatherings for both pets and their people.

The store will celebrate its grand opening starting at 9 a.m. Saturday (March 29) at 3725 Old Court Road, and special giveaways and activities will continue for the next three weekends. Pits and Rotts for Life Rescue and Pets on Wheels will both receive their $1,500 donations on Saturday morning. Fore more information, visit unleashedbypetco.com.
